Frequently Asked Questions
Does WristLux require a companion app on my phone?
No. WristLux is a standalone Wear OS app that runs directly on your watch using the built-in ambient light sensor.
How accurate are the light readings?
Readings can vary by watch model, wrist angle, shadows, sleeves, case obstruction, and sensor placement. WristLux is designed as a quick, handy reference and is not a certified professional light meter.
How does the watch face complication work?
The complication displays the latest valid light reading recorded by the main app using cached local data. To save battery, it does not continuously poll the sensor in the background.
Does it collect or share my data?
No. WristLux is entirely local-first. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data, and contains no ads or third-party tracking SDKs.
