# WristConvert: Unit Converter Privacy Policy Last updated: July 13, 2026 ## Overview WristConvert is a planned standalone Wear OS utility for converting common physical units directly on a smartwatch. The first release is designed to work offline without a phone companion, account, developer-operated backend, cloud sync, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or tracking SDK. This policy describes the planned first-release design. It will be checked against the final application code, manifest, dependencies, and release bundle before public launch. ## Data Stored Locally WristConvert may store the following information in app-private storage on the watch: - Favourite conversion pairs. - Recently used conversion pairs. - The last-used conversion pair and source value. - Result precision preference. - Haptic feedback preference. - Rotary adjustment preference. - First-run guidance state. This information is used only to provide the app's conversion workflow and restore the user's chosen settings. It is not planned to be sent to the developer or stored on a developer-operated server. ## Conversion Values Values entered for conversion are processed locally on the watch. The planned first release does not transmit entered values, conversion results, or usage history to the developer or to a third-party analytics service. ## Permissions The planned first release does not require runtime permission prompts for location, microphone, camera, contacts, calendar, files, photos, health data, body sensors, or notifications. WristConvert is also planned without internet permission because the first release excludes currency and other rate-based conversions that require current network data. ## Network And Third-Party Services The planned first release does not include a developer backend, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, remote configuration, or crash-reporting SDK. Google Play may process standard app distribution, purchase, installation, update, refund, and store-related information under Google's own policies. WristConvert does not receive payment-card details. ## Background Behavior The planned first release does not use foreground services, background workers, wake locks, background sensor listeners, or periodic network activity. ## Data Collection And Sharing The developer does not plan to collect personal data through the first release of WristConvert, sell personal information, or share personal information with advertisers. The final Google Play Data safety declaration will be verified against the release build before launch. ## Data Deletion Users can remove local WristConvert data by clearing the app's storage in Wear OS settings or uninstalling the app from the watch. Because the planned first release has no account system or developer backend, there is no server-side WristConvert account data to delete. ## Children WristConvert is not directed specifically to children and is not designed to collect personal information from children. ## Changes To This Policy This policy may be updated if WristConvert's functionality, dependencies, permissions, billing model, or data practices change.
