## Overview
WristConvert is a standalone Wear OS utility for converting common units directly on a smartwatch. It currently supports eleven categories and 81 units: temperature, mass, volume, length, area, speed, pressure, time, energy, digital data, and angle.
WristConvert works offline without a phone companion, account, developer-operated backend, cloud sync, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, tracking SDK, or crash-reporting SDK.
## Data Stored Locally
WristConvert stores the following information in app-private storage on the watch:
- Favourite conversion pairs and their order.
- Recently used conversion pairs.
- Remembered source values for recent pairs.
- The last-used conversion pair and source value.
- Result precision preference.
- Haptic feedback preference.
- First-run guidance state.
This information is used only to provide the conversion workflow, restore the user's settings, determine which three favourites appear in the Tile, and determine which favourite appears in the complication. It is not sent to the developer or stored on a developer-operated server.
## Conversion Values And Equivalent Results
Values entered for conversion are processed locally on the watch. The selected target result and equivalent values for the other units in the same category are calculated on device.
WristConvert does not transmit entered values, conversion results, equivalent results, favourites, recents, or usage history to the developer or to a third-party analytics service.
## Tile And Complication
WristConvert includes an optional Wear OS Tile and short-text complication. The Tile uses locally stored unit identifiers for the user's first three favourite conversion pairs. The complication uses the first favourite conversion pair.
Favourite changes may request an immediate refresh from the Wear OS Tile and complication systems. WristConvert does not use periodic polling, a background worker, a foreground service, or network activity for these updates.
## Permissions
WristConvert does not request runtime permission prompts for location, microphone, camera, contacts, calendar, files, photos, health data, body sensors, or notifications.
The app does not declare internet permission because it excludes currency and other rate-based conversions that require current network data.
The Tile and complication services use system bind permissions so Wear OS can connect to those providers. These are platform service protections and are not sensitive permissions requested from the user.
## Network And Third-Party Services
WristConvert does not include a developer backend, cloud sync, remote configuration, advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDK.
Google Play and Wear OS may process standard app distribution, purchase, installation, update, refund, Tile, complication, and store-related information under Google's own policies. WristConvert does not receive payment-card details.
## Background Behavior
WristConvert does not use foreground services, background workers, wake locks, background sensor listeners, periodic network activity, or continuous background processing.
## Data Collection And Sharing
The developer does not collect personal data through WristConvert, sell personal information, or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Data that remains solely in app-private storage and is processed only on the user's watch is not transmitted to the developer.
## Data Deletion
Users can remove all local WristConvert data by clearing the app's storage in Wear OS settings or uninstalling the app from the watch.
Because WristConvert has no account system or developer backend, there is no server-side WristConvert account data to delete.
## Children
WristConvert is not directed specifically to children and is not designed to collect personal information from children.
## Changes To This Policy
This policy may be updated if WristConvert's functionality, dependencies, permissions, billing model, or data practices change. The effective date at the top will be updated when material changes are made.
