Frequently Asked Questions

Does BaroGuard require a phone or internet connection?

No. BaroGuard is a standalone Wear OS utility and does not use internet access for its pressure features.

Does BaroGuard work on every Wear OS watch?

A built-in barometric pressure sensor is required for readings. Watches without a barometer are handled with an unsupported-hardware state.

Do the Tile and complications continuously run the pressure sensor?

No. They display cached local readings and open BaroGuard when you want a fresh measurement.

Are the pressure alerts weather or storm warnings?

No. Alerts describe measured pressure changes from local foreground history. They are not weather forecasts, storm warnings, emergency alerts, or medical notifications.

Is the altitude or vertical speed exact?

No. Both are approximate pressure-derived references and can be affected by weather pressure, calibration, watch hardware, sensor behavior, and environmental conditions.
