Frequently Asked Questions
Does BaroGuard require a phone companion app?
No. BaroGuard is a standalone Wear OS app that runs directly on the watch.
Does every Wear OS watch support live pressure readings?
No. Live readings require a watch with a built-in barometer sensor. On unsupported watches, BaroGuard shows a clear unavailable state instead of crashing or pretending data exists.
Does the complication continuously sample pressure in the background?
No. The complication displays the latest cached pressure reading from local storage. It does not start the sensor in the background.
Does BaroGuard collect or share data?
No. Pressure samples, settings, and calibration stay locally on the watch. The app declares no internet permission and has no backend, ads, or analytics.
Is BaroGuard a weather forecast or emergency alert app?
No. BaroGuard provides approximate pressure readings and trends only. It is not a certified weather station, storm warning app, emergency alert service, medical tool, or professional altimeter.
