Last Updated: June 17, 2026

Quick Summary

A standalone Wear OS barometer utility that stores pressure readings, trends, calibration, tile state, complication state, and settings locally on the watch. The developer does not collect personal data.

App-Specific Details

Specific data handling practices for BaroGuard: Wear OS Barometer.

  • No personal data is collected, transmitted, sold, or shared by the developer.
  • Stores locally: pressure readings, timestamps, trend history, unit preference, calibration offset, onboarding state, and latest cached tile/complication value.
  • Declares no Android permissions: no internet, location, microphone, camera, contacts, health/body sensors, files, ads, or advertising ID.
  • Reads the watch barometer sensor only while the app is open; the tile and watch face complication use cached local data and do not continuously sample in the background.
  • No account, backend, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, cloud sync, ads, or in-app purchases in the current app code.
  • Local app data is removed when you clear history, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.

# BaroGuard Privacy Policy Last updated: June 12, 2026 BaroGuard is a standalone Wear OS barometer utility published by Quazmoz / Quinn Favo. ## The short version BaroGuard collects no personal data. Everything the app records stays on your watch. ## What the app does BaroGuard reads atmospheric pressure from your watch's built-in barometer sensor while the app is open. It stores recent pressure readings locally on the watch so it can show short-term pressure history and trend labels. BaroGuard may store the following data locally on your watch: - Pressure readings and timestamps. - Local 24-hour pressure history used for trends and the sparkline. - Unit preference, such as hPa/mbar, inHg, or mmHg. - Calibration offset. - First-launch guide status. - Latest cached pressure value used by the tile and watch face complication. This data is used only to run BaroGuard features on your watch. ## What the app does not do BaroGuard does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data with the developer or third parties. BaroGuard does not use: - Internet access. - Location. - Accounts or login. - A developer backend. - Ads or advertising ID. - Analytics SDKs. - Crash-reporting SDKs. - Microphone, camera, contacts, calendar, files, photos, health data, or body sensors. Barometer access uses Android's environmental pressure sensor and does not require a runtime permission. ## Tile and watch face complication The BaroGuard tile and complication display the latest cached pressure reading stored locally by the app. They do not start the pressure sensor in the background and do not transmit data. ## Backup and device transfer BaroGuard disables Android backup and device-transfer extraction for its local app data. Pressure history and settings are intended to stay on the device where they were created. ## Data deletion You can delete local BaroGuard data by using Settings -> Clear history where available, clearing app storage in Android/Wear OS settings, or uninstalling the app. Because BaroGuard has no account system or backend database, there is no server-side BaroGuard account data to delete. ## Accuracy and safety disclaimer Pressure readings and trends are informational only. They are approximate and may vary by watch model, calibration, altitude changes, sensor behavior, and environmental conditions. BaroGuard is not a certified weather station, weather forecast, storm warning app, emergency alert service, medical tool, aviation instrument, or professional altimeter. ## Children BaroGuard is a general-purpose utility app and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. ## Changes This policy may be updated if BaroGuard changes how it handles data or adds new features. The updated policy will be posted at the privacy policy URL used in the Google Play listing. ## Contact For privacy questions or support, contact: quazmoz@vivaldi.net Public policy URL: https://consultant.quinnfavo.com/privacy/baroguard
