Simple Watch Face is currently in active development. The features listed below represent the planned scope.
Planned Features
- Show large system-aware 12/24-hour digital time on an AMOLED-black background
- Provide optional day/date, six accent colors, and an optional outer accent ring
- Expose three customizable circular complication slots with step count, unread notifications, and watch battery defaults where supported
- Support SHORT_TEXT, MONOCHROMATIC_IMAGE, and EMPTY complication states
- Use an aggressively simplified ambient mode and no runtime permissions, networking, or app-owned background work
- Follow a resource-only Watch Face Format package model with minSdk 33, targetSdk 35, compileSdk 36, AGP 9.3.1, Gradle 9.7.0, and JDK 17+
- Current repository guidance still requires WFF XML/memory validation, debug/release bundle verification, and small/large round Wear OS testing before the rebuilt version is treated as release-qualified
