Planned Features

  • Capture text or URLs directly in the Android app and durably commit the capture locally before external delivery begins
  • Receive text and one supported attachment through the Android Sharesheet with app-private handoff and attachment staging
  • Keep unresolved captures in a local Inbox with visible queued, failed, ambiguous, and delivered outcome state
  • Write routed content to a user-selected Android Storage Access Framework document tree
  • Send captured text or URLs to a user-configured HTTPS webhook using conservative retry and duplicate-risk semantics
  • Protect complete webhook endpoint values and custom webhook header values with Android Keystore-backed encrypted secret storage
  • Use WorkManager for durable network wake-ups while Room persists the single-executor lease and delivery correctness state
  • Keep immutable destination snapshots for queued requests so later route edits do not silently change an already queued delivery
  • Export and import bounded route recipes without exporting webhook endpoints, custom header values, or device-specific secret references
  • No ThoughtFerry account, developer backend, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, billing SDK, cloud sync, or Wear OS companion is required in the current Phase 1 implementation

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ThoughtFerry a notes app or task manager?

No. ThoughtFerry is a capture and routing utility. It preserves the capture locally, then sends it to a destination you choose; the destination remains the system of record.

What can ThoughtFerry capture today?

The current Phase 1 implementation supports direct text/URL capture plus Android Sharesheet capture for text and one supported attachment.

Where can ThoughtFerry send captures?

The current implementation supports the local Inbox, Android Storage Access Framework document-tree delivery, and HTTPS webhook delivery for text and URLs. Deferred connectors are not advertised as shipped.

Does ThoughtFerry upload my captures to Quazmoz?

No. ThoughtFerry has no Quazmoz-hosted capture backend in the current implementation. Content leaves the app only when you select a destination that requires an external operation.

How are webhook secrets stored?

Complete webhook endpoint values and custom header values are encrypted in Android Keystore-backed local secret storage. Normal Room records and queued request snapshots keep opaque versioned references instead of raw secret values.

Is ThoughtFerry available on Google Play now?

Not yet. The current repository is an implemented Phase 1 product still being qualified for release, so this site marks it coming soon until public availability is verified.
