Frequently Asked Questions

Does WristNote record audio?

The current Wear OS manifest does not request microphone permission. Voice capture is handed off to the system speech recognizer, which returns text to the app.

Does WristNote require a phone companion app?

The watch app can capture and store notes locally, and the Android phone app provides companion note viewing, management, billing support, and sync behavior.

Does WristNote include a Tile or complication?

Yes. The current Wear OS manifest includes a quick-capture Tile and a one-tap capture complication.

Does WristNote collect my notes?

No developer backend, ads, or analytics SDK are present in the current code. Notes are stored locally and may sync between your own phone and watch through Google Play services Wear OS Data Layer APIs.
