PlanetWright Privacy Policy

Last Updated: November 6, 2026

Quick Summary

PlanetWright is an in-development Android planetary simulator. Current Milestone 1 keeps simulation state in memory, without durable saves, accounts, developer backend, analytics, ads or billing.

App-Specific Details

Specific data handling practices for PlanetWright.

  • Temporary simulations exist only in memory; persistent projects and saves are not yet implemented.
  • No developer account, cloud sync, advertising, analytics, billing, crash-upload service or remote user-data collection is implemented.
  • User-initiated bug reports include basic app/device details and a description the user enters, shared through Android's share sheet or clipboard.
  • The current Android export configuration disables automatic backup and retention on uninstall.
  • Privacy and Play declarations must be updated if future persistence, networking or SDKs are added.

PlanetWright Privacy Policy

This policy describes the current Milestone 1 foundation of PlanetWright, an Android-first planetary simulator in development. Planned features must not be understood as already shipped.

Current data handling

Simulated planetary/domain state exists in process memory and test fixtures. A persistent user project/save database is not implemented yet. Current source has no account, authentication, developer-operated cloud service, networking feature, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, advertising SDK or purchase integration. Simulation data is not sent to the developer.

Permissions and backup

The implemented product does not require sensitive runtime access such as location, contacts, camera, microphone or health records. Engine templates or future plugins may add permissions in the eventual Android package; the final merged manifest and release artifact still need verification. Current Android export settings disable automatic user-data backup and retention after uninstall.

Optional bug reporting

When you select Report a bug, PlanetWright prepares a report containing app name/version, device manufacturer/model, Android version and the description you type. No simulated worlds, project data, logs, identifiers, credentials or attachments are included automatically. Android's share sheet lets you select where to send it; if sharing is unavailable, the same text may be copied locally to the clipboard. Recipients have their own privacy policies.

Retention and deletion

The current implementation has no developer-held account data or durable project library. Closing the app clears in-process simulation state. Clear Android app storage or uninstall to remove app-private local files or preferences. Delete any reports you sent or saved at their destination separately.

Future versions

Persistent projects, exports, networking, cloud synchronization and purchases are not yet implemented. This policy, permissions inventory and Google Play Data safety answers must be revised before releasing any version that adds them.
