Tally Counter App for Wear OS Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 23, 2026
Quick Summary
A standalone Wear OS tally counter that stores multiple counters, settings, Tile and complication state, and local rating-eligibility metadata on the watch.
App-Specific Details
Specific data handling practices for Tally Counter App for Wear OS.
- Stores counter values, names, steps, targets, locks, reset/undo state, action totals, haptic and sound preferences, and selected-counter state locally on the watch.
- Stores bounded local usage counts only to decide whether to show a restrained one-time Google Play rating suggestion. These counts are not transmitted to the developer.
- Uses Wear OS Tile and complication services to display and change the selected local counter.
- Does not request runtime permissions and does not include a developer backend, account system, ads, analytics SDK, cloud sync, or direct network access.
- Resetting one counter sets that value to zero. Clearing app storage or uninstalling deletes all local app data.

## Summary
Tally Counter is a standalone watch counter. Its app content and settings stay in local Android storage on the watch. The developer does not operate a Tally Counter backend and does not receive the counters or rating-eligibility metadata stored by the app.
## Data stored locally
The app may store the following data locally on the watch:
- Counter values and selected-counter state.
- Counter names, step sizes, optional targets, and input-lock settings.
- Increment, decrement, and reset action totals.
- Reset and undo state.
- Haptic and sound preferences.
- State used by the Wear OS Tile and complication.
- Bounded first-launch, foreground-session, and meaningful-count-action totals used only to determine whether a restrained one-time rating suggestion is eligible.
- Whether the rating suggestion was shown, dismissed, or used to open the Google Play listing.
This data is used only to operate the app features selected by the user.
## Permissions and network access
The current app does not request runtime permissions. It does not include a developer backend, account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, cloud sync, or direct network permission.
When the user explicitly chooses **Rate Tally Counter**, Android opens the app's Google Play listing in the Play Store app or an available browser. Google or the selected browser may process limited technical data under their own privacy policies. The app does not transmit counter values, names, settings, or rating-eligibility counts to the developer.
## Wear OS Tile and complication
The app includes a quick-increment Tile and a selected-counter complication. These surfaces read and update local counter state on the watch. They do not send counter data to a developer service.
## Data collection and sharing
The developer does not intentionally collect, receive, sell, or share personal information from in-app use. Google Play, Android, Wear OS, or an available browser may process limited technical data for app distribution, updates, platform security, Tiles, complications, or opening the public Play listing according to their own policies.
## Data deletion
Resetting a counter sets that counter's value to zero and preserves the remaining counters, settings, action totals, and rating-eligibility metadata. Clearing Tally Counter's app storage in Wear OS settings or uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored app data.
