WristSense: Sensor Dashboard Privacy Policy

# WristSense Privacy Policy Last updated: September 4, 2026 WristSense is a Wear OS sensor dashboard published by Quazmoz / Quinn Favo. This policy describes what the current app does, and deliberately does not do, with data. ## Summary WristSense has no app account, no ads, no analytics, no developer backend, and no INTERNET permission. Sensor measurements stay on the watch. ## Sensor data and local storage WristSense can read sensors exposed by the Wear OS device, including pressure, ambient light, compass, accelerometer/level data, and supported derived values such as estimated altitude. Sensor measurements are processed locally. Invalid or non-finite samples are discarded rather than being stored or presented as valid readings. The app may keep the latest already-formatted sensor reading in private local app storage so an optional Tile or watch-face complication can display a cached value without continuously running the physical sensor. Cached surfaces can identify old readings as stale and can be refreshed by opening WristSense. Optional Pro session summaries may store compact values such as timestamp, duration, minimum, average, maximum, latest value, and unit. Raw sensor sample streams are not persisted as session history. Invalid or corrupt saved summaries are ignored. ## Microphone and sound meter The sound meter uses microphone input only while that feature is actively collecting on screen and only after microphone permission is granted. Audio is read into a small in-memory buffer, reduced to an approximate loudness value, and discarded. WristSense does not save or transmit raw audio or recordings. Denying microphone permission disables only the sound-meter feature. ## Google Play Billing WristSense Pro is an optional one-time purchase handled by Google Play Billing. WristSense does not receive or store payment-card credentials. The app keeps local entitlement state so a previously confirmed Pro owner can continue using eligible Pro functionality while offline. Google Play remains the payment processor and source of authoritative purchase status when Billing is reachable. Google may process purchase, account, distribution, security, and technical service information under Google's own terms and privacy policies. ## Help, feedback, and diagnostics WristSense provides explicit Help & feedback actions for reporting a bug, requesting a feature, contacting the developer, and copying sanitized diagnostics. When you choose an external support action, WristSense can open https://consultant.quinnfavo.com/support/wristsense on a paired phone. The outbound URL contains only the support type, source=wear, a safe support context, and the app version name. WristSense does not automatically upload a diagnostic bundle. If you choose Copy diagnostics, the app creates the bundle locally and copies it only after that explicit action. You decide whether to paste or submit it on the support website. The sanitized diagnostic bundle excludes sensor readings, account or purchase identifiers, advertising identifiers, logs, recordings or raw audio, secrets, and unnecessary stable identifiers. Information you later type or paste into the external support website is a separate, explicit web interaction. ## Network, accounts, advertising, and analytics The WristSense application does not declare INTERNET permission and does not send sensor measurements to a Quazmoz server. The current app has: - No WristSense account system. - No developer-operated app backend. - No advertising SDK. - No developer analytics SDK. - No developer crash-reporting backend. - No custom cloud sync. Google Play and Wear OS platform components may process limited service information required for app distribution, purchases, Tiles, complications, and system functionality under their own terms. ## Permissions WristSense may request microphone permission only for the local sound-meter feature. It may use vibration where haptic feedback is enabled. The current app does not require location, camera, contacts, calendar, files/photos, advertising ID, or a developer network permission for its sensor-dashboard functionality. ## Data deletion You can remove WristSense app-local data by clearing app storage in Wear OS settings or uninstalling the app. Google Play purchase history is managed separately by Google Play. ## Accuracy and safety WristSense provides reference measurements based on sensors exposed by the watch. Estimated altitude is derived from barometric pressure and a sea-level pressure reference. Sound is an approximate microphone-based value. WristSense is not a certified medical, safety, legal, industrial, aviation, or professional measuring instrument. ## Children's privacy WristSense is a general-audience utility and does not include advertising, social features, or a developer-operated account service. ## Changes This policy will be updated before release when WristSense materially changes its permissions, SDKs, storage, billing behavior, support-data behavior, network behavior, or other data handling. ## Contact For privacy questions or support, use WristSense Help & feedback or contact Quazmoz@vivaldi.net.
