- Calibrate a personal phone-viewing baseline from rotation-vector or gravity sensors and require recalibration if the sensor strategy changes
- Detect sustained low viewing angles with deterministic dwell, hysteresis, cooldown, screen-off, and motion-suppression rules
- Run monitoring only from an explicit user-started foreground service and never silently auto-resume after process death
- Deliver configurable visual notifications and optional short local haptics after confirmed sustained-low transitions
- Store only derived calibration, bounded session summaries, confirmed drift-event summaries, and recovery checkpoints locally; raw orientation samples are transient
- Provide local history, explicit clear-history controls, cue policy settings, and recovery states without requiring an account or cloud AI
- Planned Desk Mode uses on-device camera landmark processing and planned Wear OS support provides discreet cues; those broader modes are not yet release-qualified
- Wellness and habit-support only: DriftCue does not diagnose posture disorders, spinal alignment, injury, or other medical conditions
Frequently Asked Questions
Does DriftCue upload camera or sensor data?
The current Phone Angle Guard is local-first and persists derived state rather than raw orientation samples. Planned camera sensing is designed for ephemeral on-device processing rather than stored video.
Will DriftCue monitor me all the time?
No. Monitoring is explicitly user-started, does not auto-resume after process death, and uses conservative sustained-evidence rules before cueing.
Is DriftCue a medical device?
No. DriftCue is a wellness and habit-support product and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
Is DriftCue available on Google Play?
Not yet. The M1 Phone Angle Guard slice is still in active development and broader build/device release qualification remains incomplete.
