Morrowstead

An Android-first habit builder where real-world consistency creates a persistent 3D settlement. Habit history is canonical; the world is deterministic derived state that turns long-term progress into a place you can explore.

Planned Features

  • Use real habit completion history as the progression system instead of an in-app resource grind
  • Project canonical habit history into a deterministic renderer-neutral 3D world model with stable districts, habit anchors, stages, vitality, flourish, and milestones
  • Launch the normal phone experience into a renderer-backed world shell while retaining a native degraded/assistive path for renderer failure and accessibility
  • Create, edit, archive, restore, delete, and correct scheduled boolean or count-based habits with local Room/DataStore persistence
  • Export and import versioned local data through Android system storage flows
  • Use adaptive graphics policy and a bounded SceneView/Filament renderer recovery model rather than letting renderer failure corrupt canonical habit history
  • No required account, custom backend, advertising, or behavioral analytics in the current implementation
  • Current M3 renderer work is still being qualified; Wear OS, billing, broad device stress testing, profiling, and production release qualification remain later gates

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Morrowstead a city-building game?

No. The product is a habit builder whose 3D settlement reflects real-world habit history. There is no required resource grind, failure punishment, or simulated economy.

What happens if the 3D renderer fails?

Canonical habit history remains renderer-neutral. The app retains a native degraded/assistive representation and treats the 3D scene as disposable derived state.

Is Morrowstead available on Google Play?

Not yet. The repository is in active M3 renderer development and is not release-qualified, so this page intentionally marks it as in development.
