Planned Features

  • Model rocky-body physics, analytic elliptical orbits and stellar flux, and per-species atmospheric partial pressures through deterministic domain layers
  • Keep simulation state authoritative and independent from rendering so scientific outputs do not depend on frame cadence or renderer state
  • Assemble immutable validated PlanetSnapshot read models with explicit schema, model-set, component-model, and procedural-generation version boundaries
  • Build toward one touch-first Planet Lab where users can create, modify, observe, measure, save, reopen, duplicate, and compare simulated worlds
  • Use an Android-first Godot 4.7.2 Mobile-renderer baseline with deterministic seed-based generation where practical
  • Keep the core product offline-first and non-gamified: no required currencies, XP, streaks, quests, energy systems, or retention mechanics
  • Current Milestone 1 source has implemented foundation/domain layers, but the repository explicitly does not claim them TESTED until its pinned Godot headless commands run successfully
  • Climate, hydrosphere, persistence, full rendering/UI, physical-device qualification, and production release readiness remain later work

Frequently Asked Questions

Is PlanetWright a game?

No. PlanetWright is designed as a creative scientific simulator. Its product rules explicitly avoid grind, currencies, quests, artificial unlocks, and other mechanics that do not serve simulation or understanding.

How scientifically accurate is PlanetWright?

The project uses explicit simplified model versions and validity warnings. Current implemented layers cover bounded rocky-body physics, analytic orbit/stellar-flux calculations, and partial-pressure atmosphere modeling; it does not claim research-grade CFD, full N-body behavior, chemistry, or weather.

Is PlanetWright available on Google Play?

Not as a release-qualified current build. Milestone 1 implementation is underway and important headless test, rendering, persistence, UI, device, and release gates remain open.
