## Summary
WristPet stores habit, pet, progress, preference, entitlement, and sync data locally on the user's devices. The developer does not operate a WristPet account system or custom backend and does not sell personal data.
WristPet does not show ads and does not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. An optional one-time **WristPet Pro** purchase is handled by Google Play Billing.
## Data stored on your devices
WristPet may store the following data locally:
- Habit names and habit metadata.
- Habit completion history.
- Pet name, selected pet, pet state, mood, level, coins, XP, habitat, cosmetic, and color selections.
- Progress and streak information.
- App preferences such as onboarding status, theme choice, and haptic setting.
- A local boolean indicating the most recently reconciled WristPet Pro entitlement state.
- Wear OS sync queue events used to reconcile watch completions with the phone.
- Local cached watch state for tiles and complications.
This data is used only to provide WristPet functionality, offline use, the optional Pro entitlement, and phone/watch synchronization.
Habit names are user-entered and can be personal. WristPet treats them as private local data.
## Google Play Billing
WristPet offers an optional one-time non-consumable product through Google Play Billing. Google Play handles the payment transaction under Google's terms and policies.
WristPet does **not** access or store your credit card number, bank details, or other payment credentials. The app receives Google Play purchase state needed to determine whether the WristPet Pro product is owned, pending, refunded, or revoked. WristPet stores only a local entitlement flag; raw purchase tokens are not persisted or logged by WristPet.
Purchases may be acknowledged through the Google Play Billing service as required by Google Play. WristPet currently has no custom purchase-verification backend and does not send purchase tokens to a developer-operated server.
## Data collection
Current app code does not collect or transmit personal data to a WristPet developer backend because no such backend exists.
WristPet does not use:
- Account registration or login.
- Email address collection.
- Precise location collection.
- Contacts access.
- Photos, videos, audio, or file collection.
- Advertising identifiers.
- Analytics SDKs.
- Crash-reporting SDKs.
- Ads.
- Health Connect, Google Fit, medical records, or body-sensor data.
Google Play Billing and Google Play services process data needed to provide their platform services according to Google's terms and privacy policies.
## Phone and watch sync
The phone and Wear OS app may exchange WristPet app data with each other through Google Play services Wear OS Data Layer APIs. This is device-to-device app synchronization for WristPet functionality, not advertising or analytics sharing.
Sync data may include active habits, completion events, pet summary state, haptic preference, Pro entitlement state, and small local status payloads needed to keep the phone and watch consistent. The phone is canonical for the Pro entitlement mirror.
## Permissions and platform services
The phone app requests no dangerous runtime permissions. The Google Play Billing Library contributes the normal Google Play billing permission needed to communicate with the Play Store purchase service.
The Wear OS app requests only the normal android.permission.VIBRATE permission for optional positive completion haptics. It does not request a wake-lock, foreground-service, notification, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, file/photo, health, body-sensor, or advertising-ID permission.
## Network, encryption, and third-party services
WristPet uses:
- Google Play Billing for the optional one-time Pro purchase.
- Google Play services Wear OS Data Layer APIs for phone/watch communication.
No custom WristPet backend service is used. Platform-service network communication is handled by Google Play / Google Play services.
## Backups and device transfer
WristPet disables Android backup and data extraction for local habit, pet, sync, preference, and entitlement-cache data.
## User control and data deletion
WristPet provides an in-app **Settings → Delete app data** action that permanently removes locally stored WristPet data, including habits, completion history, pet state, progress/streaks, the Wear OS sync queue, preferences, and the local Pro cache. The app then returns to its first-run state.
Deleting local app data does not cancel or refund a Google Play purchase. A previously owned one-time WristPet Pro purchase can be restored by Google Play when ownership is reconciled again.
Users can also delete local WristPet data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in Android system settings. Because WristPet has no developer-operated backend, there is no WristPet server copy to delete.
## Children and sensitive use
WristPet is a general habit tracking app. It does not make medical, diagnostic, treatment, mental-health, financial, or professional advice claims.
Before any release targeted at children, the product, metadata, privacy policy, SDKs, monetization, and data practices must be reviewed for child-directed requirements.
## Monetization
WristPet has no ads or subscription. WristPet Pro is an optional one-time Google Play purchase that unlocks additive premium content. Existing content that originally shipped free remains free.
## Changes
This policy may be updated when WristPet features or privacy practices change. Material changes should be reflected in the app listing and the published privacy-policy URL before release.
