Frequently Asked Questions
Does FidgetDrop for Wear OS require a phone companion app?
No. It is a standalone Wear OS app that runs directly on the watch.
How does sound feedback work?
Sound feedback is enabled by default at the app level and uses short tones generated locally on the watch. Playback follows the watch system volume, mute state, and audio routing. Discreet Mode always mutes app sounds.
Does the app record audio or need microphone access?
No. FidgetDrop only produces optional sound output. It does not record audio and does not request microphone permission.
What permissions does it use?
The current app requests only vibration permission for haptic feedback. It does not request internet, location, microphone, camera, health, notification, storage, or background-service permissions.
Are the fidget modes paid?
The current release candidate includes Haptic Tap, Squeeze Rhythm, and Button Grid without an unlock.
Is FidgetDrop a medical or therapy app?
No. It is a general-purpose tactile fidget app and does not provide medical, therapeutic, or mental-health treatment claims.
